Adam Robles talks about how the 100ECO helps his company be more efficient. Robles1 Demolition Contractors is a family-run business with two Texas locations. They specialize in all things demolition, including interior gut-outs, and concrete slab removal. One piece of equipment they have come to rely on is the 100ECO electric mini skid steer. A relatively new addition to their fleet, Operations Manager Adam Robles says the company purchased it at the World of Concrete convention in 2015. It wasn’t long before they saw how beneficial it was.

“It’s hard to find good workers,” Robles said, "and the 100ECO can easily take the place of multiple workers. That's important for me because it means we can complete a job five times as fast. With concrete blocks, for example, it takes many guys to load and haul them. With the 100ECO, the machine makes it to where I only need one guy to handle that task, while the other 4 can work on other tasks."

"Another big benefit is money savings," Robles said. "Now the company has the benefit of saving thousands of dollars in payroll expenses because we don't require the same size of workforce that we did in the past. That's pretty important to me due to labor shortages."

Robles says that during the first couple of hours of a job, a lot of energy is exerted, with guys loading up a wheelbarrow and hauling materials away. “By hour three, hour four, they’re starting to get fatigued a little bit and slowing down. It's hard work, & not something that most can do day in and day out. Now all they have to do is operate a machine. They don't get tired, & neither does the skid steer, which I credit for our increased employee retention. It's difficult to keep laborers when they are breaking their backs every day, but when the machine does the work, they're more inclined to stay."

The multiple attachments that can be used with the 100ECO makes it the perfect multi-tool for any demolition contractor. “We can put a 200-pound hammer on it, which eliminates guys having to carry big 60-pound jackhammers," explained Adam. "What can be done in an hour with the hammer would take two guys all day to break up concrete pads. Then you just switch the bucket out and load it up, which is all done with just one machine, and only one laborer operating it.”

Above all, Robles says, "the best benefit of the 100ECO is that it can be used anywhere. We've taken it up 10-story buildings thanks to it being elevator safe, & no emissions makes it safe for our crews to use indoors. We don't have to waste hours upon hours setting up proper ventilation to keep our guys getting sick from harmful fumes. We just drive the equipment in & get straight to work."
